Yvon Martel, from Chicoutimi, is the proud inventor of a unique machine called the MTT-136 (”My Track Technology”), which consists of an aluminum box that houses an electric motor driving the 136” snowmobile track around it. A handlebar system is fitted to one end of the box.
Depending on the battery, charging times vary from 15 minutes to eight hours.
The MTT-136 can reach speeds of 40 km/h and pull a sled over a distance of about 220 kilometres.
